Hidden Pearl – painting by Charlotte Tønder

Hidden Pearl is an evocative abstract painting, painted in acrylic on canvas. Where colors, structure and movement merge in a calm and poetic composition.
The work measures 100 × 100 cm and can be purchased for DKK 10,000.

A clear turquoise blue field appears in the center of the painting, acting as a visual anchor surrounded by layer upon layer of earth tones, greens and raw brushstrokes. The organic textures and transparent layers give the painting depth and a sense of something hidden that slowly reveals itself.
Hidden Pearl moves in the borderland between landscape and interior space, leaving room for personal interpretation and tranquility.

By appointment, the painting can be borrowed home on trial – a good way to experience how the work fits into your own surroundings.
I currently work from my studio in Gentofte, where private viewings are available by appointment. Here the works can be experienced in peace and presence.

About me as an artist

The constant in my life is art. For more than 25 years, art has been my focal point and driving force. I am inspired by everything I encounter and experience, which is why my works are often different in both expression and mood.

My mindset plays a crucial role in the creative process and I see it as a strength to be able to move freely between the abstract and the more figurative. Colors are always central and I use the whole palette without limitations.

My images only take shape when I sit in front of the canvas. I often start with a basic idea or motif that gradually dissolves and blurs. The randomness that arises in this process is explored further until the subject finds its own direction.
